I think I may use some of the group work to do word sorts (spelling sorts) a la Kaylene Beers. Actually, if you are a reading teacher of any sort in grades 6-12 you must go out and buy When Kids Can't Read, What Teachers Can Do. It's an amazing book; I wish our new program had incorporated it!
